These terms apply to Maisonnée: the iPhone app (and its widget) and the web app at maisonnee-app.web.app. By using Maisonnée, you accept them. For the iPhone app, they supplement Apple’s Standard License Agreement (section 14). Any question? jokenkpro@gmail.com.
1. Who publishes Maisonnée
Maisonnée is published by Johan Kenneth, an individual developer (“the publisher”, “we”). Contact: jokenkpro@gmail.com. Legal information: legal notice.
2. What Maisonnée does
Maisonnée helps people who share a home (flatshares, residences, family homes) get organised: fair chore sharing, machine bookings, stock and groceries, shared expenses and repayments, the house notebook (Wi-Fi, codes, contacts), reporting problems, the house feed, and Pompon, the spirit of the house, who shows the week’s mood and answers questions.
Maisonnée never holds, receives or transfers money: balances between housemates are amounts you enter; repayments are settled between you, outside the app. Maisonnée is not a landlord, a letting agency or a rental intermediary.
3. Using Maisonnée
The demo opens without an account, with a fictitious house. A house can stay on a single phone; to share it, you put it online and invite your housemates with a code or a link. An account (Apple, Google or email) lets you find your houses on another device.
Maisonnée is intended for people aged 16 and over. You use your own name and keep access to your account and your phone to yourself.
4. The shared house
A house belongs to its housemates. Each of them can add and edit chores, expenses, notes and posts, which all housemates see. The invite code opens the house to anyone who has it: only share it with your housemates. The housemate who manages the subscription can remove people who have left.
5. Your commitments
- Only add housemates and enter their information with their consent.
- Only put in the notebook (Wi-Fi passwords, door codes, contacts) what the house may know, and update it when someone leaves.
- Enter accurate expenses and amounts, and keep your own proof of payment.
- Stay courteous in the feed, thanks, votes and reports.
- Follow the law, your lease and your building’s rules: they take precedence over anything the app suggests.
6. Pompon and on-device intelligence
On compatible iPhones, Pompon answers using Apple’s on-device language model. Its answers and suggestions (chore sharing, reminders, autopilot) are indicative and may be wrong: check them before relying on them, especially amounts. Nothing is sent to a server to produce them.
7. Plans and subscriptions
- Maisonnée is free, with no time limit, for a house of up to 4 housemates, with all the essentials.
- Maisonnée Plus welcomes more than 4 housemates and adds the autopilot. It costs €2 per month for each housemate beyond the fourth (or one seat, i.e. €2 per month, if the house has 4 housemates or fewer and wants the autopilot). The first month may be offered as a trial; any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a paid subscription. One subscription covers the whole house, on every device, web included; its cost can be shared between housemates in Money.
- Agencies and landlords: €10 per room per month, on quotation, invoiced directly by the publisher; an agency’s houses get Plus.
Subscriptions purchased in the iPhone app are sold and billed by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; renewal is charged within 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel it in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. The price shown by the App Store at the time of purchase, including taxes, applies. Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). The web app does not sell subscriptions.
If the subscription ends, the house carries on with the free plan: nothing is erased. Deleting your account or the app does not cancel an Apple subscription.
8. Prohibited uses
You must not use Maisonnée to harass, threaten or humiliate anyone, post unlawful content, impersonate a housemate, enter a house you were not invited to, disrupt the service, get around its protections or extract its data by automated means.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend access for an account or a house in case of a serious breach of these terms, a risk to users or the service, or where the law requires it; unless it is urgent, we let you know first. You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app (You & the house → Your Account). Before permanently shutting the service down, we will give at least 30 days’ notice.
10. Availability and warranties
We do our best to keep Maisonnée working well and your data protected. The service is provided “as is”: to the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption, that syncing will be instant, or that figures entered by users are accurate. This does not take away consumers’ statutory rights (including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services).
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect damage, disagreements between housemates, sums owed between them, or the consequences of a code or information shared in a house. Its total liability is limited to the greater of what you paid for Maisonnée in the previous 12 months or €50. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot legally be limited (gross negligence or wilful misconduct, personal injury) or your mandatory consumer rights.
12. Intellectual property
Maisonnée (app, code, name, Pompon, logo, text, design) belongs to the publisher. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under these terms. What you write in a house remains yours and your housemates’; you only allow us to store and process it to run the service, as described in the privacy policy.
13. Personal data
See the privacy policy.
14. iPhone app: Apple-specific terms
- License. Use of the iPhone app is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which these terms supplement; in case of conflict regarding the license, that agreement prevails.
- Parties. These terms are between you and the publisher, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Maintenance and support: the publisher alone (support). Apple has no obligation to provide any.
- Warranty. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which may refund its purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Claims (product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection, privacy) and intellectual property claims are the publisher’s responsibility, not Apple’s.
- Export. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For any significant change, we will notify you in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept them, you can stop using Maisonnée and delete your account.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence. If you have a disagreement, please write to us first: we will look for an amicable solution. You may also use a consumer mediator or the EU online dispute resolution platform free of charge. Failing that, the competent courts will have jurisdiction; a consumer can always go to the courts where they live.
17. General
If any clause is held invalid, the others remain in force. These terms exist in French and English; the French version prevails.
